This origami jack-o-lantern starts from fruit base. One special folding technique you need to know is inside reverse-fold. You can put a candle inside after making this lantern.

Let's get started.
You may use any kind of paper to fold this origami lantern. Here I am using a paper with the same color and texture for both front and back sides. But you can use different color and/or texture. The size of the paper is 20cm x 20cm. It is easy to use a large size paper initially and then use a smaller one if you are become familiar with this model. If you want to put a candle inside, then you need to start with a paper larger than 20cm x 20cm.
