17. Rotate the origami cup model by 90 degrees.   Prepare to touch two surfaces divided by a valley-folded crease line.   Do this for two times.

18. Make two surfaces touch each other for both the left and the right sides.   Prepare to apply a horizontal "valley-fold" .
